The Zimbabwe National Water Authority (ZINWA) wishes to remind all bulk water companies that, in terms of
Statutory Instrument 90 of 2013 (Water Permits Amendment Regulations), all
Bulk Water Licences and Certificates expire on
December 31, 2025.
Companies and dealers intending to continue operating after this date must ensure their licences are renewed
on or before December 31. Those who do not have 2025 Certificates and Licences are advised to apply early to avoid
the inconveniences and penalties associated with late or non-registration.
New Applications
New players wishing to enter the bulk water sector are also advised to apply for the relevant certificates and licences.
Surrender of Licences
Bulk water dealers intending to surrender their licences are advised that, in terms of the same law, they are required to
notify ZINWA in writing at least 30 days before the stoppage of their business.
Compliance
ZINWA would like to reiterate that any acts of non-compliance after the
December 31 deadline will not be tolerated.
