Engineering Services Manager Deadline: 19 May 2026

Head Office – Harare (Reports to Director, Engineering & Hydrological Services) Closing Date: 19th May 2026

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and coordinating engineering services within the Authority.
  • Planning, designing, supervising and monitoring water supply, dam, irrigation and sanitation infrastructure projects.
  • Supervising maintenance and rehabilitation of water infrastructure and related equipment.
  • Preparing technical reports, budgets, project plans and feasibility studies.
  • Providing technical advice to management and stakeholders on engineering matters.
  • Managing departmental staff performance, training and development.
  • Liaising with government departments, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders on technical projects.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Water Resources Management or equivalent.
  • Master's Degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
  • Membership with a recognized professional body (e.g. Engineering Council of Zimbabwe or the Institution of Engineers) is an added advantage.
  • A minimum of five (5) years' relevant post-qualifying experience, preferably in the water sector.
  • Strong knowledge of water infrastructure development and project management.
  • Proficiency in engineering software packages will be an added advantage.
  • Good leadership, communication and report writing skills.
  • Clean class 4 driver's licence.
  • Ability to work without supervision.

Corporate Communications & Marketing Officers (2 positions)

Save Catchment Office – Mutare  |  Mzingwane Catchment Office – Gwanda Closing Date: 11th May 2026

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Relationship Management: Receiving, resolving and documenting clients' queries and complaints for enhanced customer experience management.
  • Media Relations: Building and maintaining relationships with the media within the catchment jurisdiction, assisting the Authority in responding to catchment specific media inquiries.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management: Managing and maintaining sound relations with ZINWA stakeholders within the catchment.
  • Crisis Management: Managing communications during unexpected negative events to protect the Authority's reputation in liaison with Head Office.
  • Event Management: Organizing events such as facility tours, stakeholder engagement meetings and awareness campaigns within the catchment.
  • Monitoring & Analysis: Monitoring and analysis of the Authority's media coverage in the local media.
  • Writing and contributing articles to the ZINWA weekly and monthly internal publications.
  • Visibility and Publicity: Initiating and handling catchment publicity and visibility activities including exhibitions, road shows, product activations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Media studies / English and Communication / Journalism / Marketing Management or related field.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English, Shona and Ndebele.
  • Team player with ability to solve problems and exercise sound judgment.
